Identification and Control in Rotor Systems: Volume 2

The second volume of the second edition of the Rotor Systems book focuses on identification techniques in rotor systems. It provides comprehensive coverage of unbalance identification and bearing dynamic parameter identification algorithms. Additionally, it explores the sensors and exciters used in rotor systems, along with the associated signal conditioning equipment. The book delves deeply into error analysis, offering detailed discussions to help readers understand measurement errors and their implications. Furthermore, the control of rotor systems is thoroughly addressed, including the analysis of both simple and multi-degree-of-freedom (multi-DOF) rotor systems. This edition also expands on experimentation related to the flexible balancing of rotors, providing practical insights into advanced rotor system control techniques. Covers balancing of rigid and flexible rotors with solved examples Describes various sensors and exciters used in rotor system and related signal conditioning equipment Explores signal processing with special focus on the full spectrum relevant for rotor response analysis Contains basic information on the condition monitoring of various types of rotating machinery Reviews control of rotor system includes analysis of simple and multi-DOF rotor system This book is aimed at senior undergraduate/graduate students in mechanical engineering, rotor dynamics, rotating machinery/turbomachinery, and related fields.
