John Burnside è stato uno dei maggiori poeti e scrittori britannici, vincitore nel 2011, con la raccolta Black Cat Bone, del Forward Poetry Prize (assegnato in passato a Seamus Heaney, Don Peterson e Ted Hughes) e con la raccolta The Asylum Dance del Whitbread Poetry Award nel 2000. A lungo docente di scrittura creativa presso la University of St Andrews, a nord di Edimburgo, ha scritto numerosi racconti e romanzi, ed era membro della giuria del Man Booker Prize. Tra le sue opere Una bugia su mio padre (Neri Pozza 2012). Fazi Editore ha pubblicato Glister (2010). È scomparso nel 2024 a soli 69 anni.Fonte immagine: Neri Pozza edizioni
