A man of average intelligence

When a smug con artist rises to power, America becomes a nation of idiots. Only one man seems to notice the takeover, and he watches in disbelief as the new leader, a morbidly obese narcissist who wears makeup and adult diapers, fakes an assassination attempt to gain sympathy. His gullible followers start wearing maxi pads on their ears and diapers in solidarity. The man tries to make sense of a world gone mad as the con artist appoints a drug addict who doesn't believe in science to run the healthcare system, an alcoholic to head the military, and an uneducated woman to oversee education. Instead of doing his job, the con artist spreads absurd conspiracy theories and makes a deal with a woman who looks and acts like a robot in a skin suit. The country descends further into chaos when he appoints a complete moron to lead the FBI and a dumb blonde as attorney general. The man struggles to stay sane in a landscape where incompetence reigns supreme and nothing makes sense. The con artist's administration becomes a parody of itself, firing the attorney general and replacing her with his own lawyer who knows nothing about the law. As each appointment proves more disastrous than the last, the man realizes there may be no end to the stupidity. Trapped in a circus of buffoonery, he confronts the bleak possibility that his is the only functioning brain left. In a world where idiocy is the new normal, the man must decide whether to keep fighting or surrender to the madness.
