The solipsistiThe solipsistic nature of the Western worldview means that primitive individualism trumps all other considerations, and generosity and empathy are actively discouraged, if needs be, eliminated, so empathy, munificent to profusion and kindness, becomes ostracised. The extraordinary and enormous achievements of Dr Molefi Oliphant have to be understood within the difficult and complex history of Africa and South Africa. Particularly, growing up in a society bereft of any peace. This makes him an object of history, and he represents 5% of humanity, Jung refers to as psychological elites. This 5% has extraordinary unique features that define their leadership. This involves their extroverted-introvert, introverted-extrovert, intuitive-extrovert, and intuitive-introvert. Extroverted introverts appear to be gregarious at one point and quite reserved at another, meaning they are social and enjoy quietude simultaneously. This is a person who is social and prefers alone time. They tend to be highly skilled in social networking and collaboration, as they equally crave a life of solitude, even ephemerally. They, in this sense, exhibit the host-ghost mentality, which allows them to enter meaningful conversations and also retract from them to recharge their mental batteries. Dr Molefi Oliphant is the type of person who prefers to mingle, negotiate and engage the social space in his own terms and is also amenable to a solitary life. At the other end of the dichotomous life lies someone who prefers to liaise with the social space, creating time to rekindle his mind and spirit. They can navigate the social space as easily as a cinch and are highly adaptable, as they are reserved. In Table 1 below, these two personalities are juxtaposed and contrasted to make transparent their uniqueness: The nature of the Western worldview means that primitive individualism trumps all other considerations, and generosity and empathy are actively discouraged, if needs be, eliminated, so empathy, munificent to profusion and kindness, becomes ostracised.
