Nox Origin

In a world where magical power chooses its bearer, Kai has spent eighteen years without a Nox of his own. Living on the edge of a quiet village, he has learned to accept being different—until a forgotten ruin beneath the mountains changes everything. Inside the remains of the First Civilization, Kai discovers a mysterious ring: Origin Nox, the ancient source from which all Noxes were once divided. When it chooses him, dormant forces awaken, and Kai becomes the target of the Abyss Cult, an organization that has spent years searching for the scattered remnants of the ancient power. At Astra Academy, Kai begins learning to live with a power no one fully understands. With the help of Luna, a skilled Nox Bearer who becomes his closest ally, and surrounded by new friends and rivals, he begins uncovering the truth behind Origin Nox and the catastrophe that destroyed the First Civilization. But two powerful forces are closing in. Raze, leader of the Abyss Cult, believes the world's unequal Nox system must be destroyed, even if achieving equality means sacrificing those who already possess its power. Meanwhile, the Holy Order believes Origin Nox is too dangerous to remain in the hands of a single individual and seeks to place it under institutional control. Caught between them, Kai must decide what should happen to the power that chose him. As the Abyss Cult gathers the ancient Noxes and the path toward another catastrophe opens, Kai discovers that the fate of Origin Nox may depend on his own bloodline—and on a choice no one else can make for him. To save the world, Kai may have to surrender the very power that made him its most important person.
