Odium

"The church did this to us, Nayden. We shall do worse." Returning home, vampire Nayden Aleksiev is greeted by a blood-drenched nightmare. His family—tortured, slaughtered, their bodies twisted in agony by ruthless hunters. And presiding over it all is the King's Shadow—the king's personal assassin, a figure whose name alone breeds fear in the king's enemies. Yet the horror runs even deeper. Nayden's family didn't just comply—they became willing pawns in the church's ruthless plot to dismantle the King's Shadow, slaughtering his family under the guise of condemning his sexuality. They embraced the church's twisted scheme, using bloodshed to push their merciless creed and seize control over human minds, leaving only betrayal and fear in their wake. Amidst his overwhelming grief and seething rage, Nayden witnesses firsthand the unrelenting justice of King's Shadow, sparing only him and his younger brother from certain death. But there is no solace in this act of mercy, as Rayno is sold off to a brutal mercenary and Nayden is forced to remain at the Shadow's side in order to seek revenge against the corrupt church. As they delve deeper into their quest for vengeance, Nayden battles with an inexplicable attraction towards the man who destroyed his life and torments his body. But within their tumultuous relationship lies a twisted mix of lust, agony, and fiery passion for a complex and shattered man consumed by his own torment. Dark secrets are unraveled, painful truths confessed, and an unbreakable bond is forged between Nayden and his captor as death looms ever closer for both of them. Odium is a dark MM paranormal romance featuring vampires, assassins, disturbing themes, and a twisted love forged through trauma. In this world, even the heroes are villains.
