ONCOPLASTIC BREAST-CONSERVING SURGERY FOR ASIAN PATIENTS: THE JOPBS STEP-UP GUIDE

This book provides a comprehensive guide to oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery (OPBCS) for Asian patients with small- to medium-sized breasts. While OPBCS has developed rapidly worldwide, many techniques described in the literature were originally designed for Western patients with larger breast volumes. The text therefore focuses on practical surgical strategies that are particularly applicable to Asian patients, including skin-sparing and tissue-preserving approaches as well as techniques for maintaining breast symmetry.A central concept presented is the Step-Up Guide for oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery, developed through the academic activities of the Japan Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Society (JOPBS).
