Operation Banner: the Long Walk, Apr - Oct 1994, Middletown & Keady, County Armagh

This book's aim is not to take sides or proportion any kind of blame whatsoever, nor is it designed to justify anything we were doing or did. It simply tells all about our specific journey and the 'long walk' that we partook in during a rural ground holding and anti-terrorism Operation in County Armagh N.Ireland in the mid 1990's. The Op itself was particularly arduous, very wet and sometimes quite dangerous. We all worked long hours with adequate, yet on reflection pretty basic kit & equipment. But you just 'get on with it' as I'm sure we all agree as soldiers it's what we all joined up to do.
