Cantante, chitarrista e scrittore, in patria e non solo è stato insignito di numerosi premi letterari. Prima di votarsi completamente alla scrittura, ha fatto il calciatore di Seria A, il giornalista free-lance e il broker di borsa. Il pettirosso è il suo primo libro, votato in Norvegia come migliore crime novel.
