Rastafari I & I

Rasta I & I Rastafarian Psycho-Spirituality What happens when Rastafari is explored not merely as a movement, but as a psychology of consciousness? At the heart of Rastafari lies one of its most profound expressions: I & I — a way of understanding identity, relationship, spiritual presence and the sacred dignity of the human being. In Rasta I & I, Stephen Ebanks journeys beneath the familiar symbols of Rastafari to examine its inner architecture: the psychology of identity, the internalisation of Babylon, the transformative power of reasoning, meditation and self-observation, the discipline of livity, and the movement from resistance towards genuine inner liberation. What does it mean to free the mind from inherited conditioning? Can Babylon exist within consciousness as well as society? How can reasoning become a spiritual practice? What separates resistance from true freedom? And what happens when Jah-consciousness begins shaping everyday life? Written for the seasoned reader, this is neither a simple history of Rastafari nor a catalogue of beliefs. It is a thoughtful exploration of Rastafarian psycho-spirituality — bringing psychology, philosophy, consciousness and spiritual reflection into conversation with the living wisdom of Rastafari. A book about becoming rooted without becoming closed, strong without becoming hardened, spiritual without abandoning the world, and free without losing connection. The journey begins with I. It deepens through I & I.
