Reckless Heir

He folded a winning hand for her. She hid in his bathtub with his best wine. Narek Hakobyan is the golden cousin of Los Angeles's most dangerous Armenian family. He jokes when he's afraid, charms when he's hurt, and has spent ten years making sure nobody can ever be let down by him. Sable Voss was the poisonous princess of the port, until she handed her father's ledgers to the Hakobyans and made a hundred enemies overnight. Now her father's men are hunting the only witness who can put him away, and the one man she once looked down on is the only one she can run to. The only protection that works is a story the whole city believes: a Hakobyan engagement. His rules are simple. No touching. No feelings. Only until the trial. They break every one of them by Christmas. But a fake engagement, a heat wave, a drunken engagement party, and a night in a Beatles bedroom were only the beginning. When secrets, a murderer with a wax seal, and a cruel word spoken at the family table threaten to burn it all down, the man who always read the end of every story first will have to learn the hardest thing of all: how to ask, and wait. Dark, funny, sweary, and slow-burn scorching, RECKLESS HEIR is a fake-engagement, accidental-pregnancy mafia romance with a sassy heroine, an icy-then-melting hero, jealous fury on both sides, and a lamp that never goes off. Book 2 of The Hakobyan Blood. Can be read as a standalone, but best enjoyed after SINFUL TERMS.
