L'album “John Williams Reimagined” reimmagina i temi più emblematici di John Williams, il leggendario compositore di musica da film descritto da Spielberg come “il più grande di tutti i maestri”. Questo progetto artistico è nato dalla visione del produttore di musica per film Robert Townson, che ha voluto dare una nuova dimensione alle opere di John Williams. A tal fine, ha riunito un trio da camera unico nel suo genere, composto dalla flautista Sara Andon, dalla violoncellista Cécilia Tsan e dal pianista Simone Pedroni. Insieme, reinterpretano temi di film come Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, Schindler's List, ET, Star Wars, Jurassic Park e molti altri.

John Williams

1932, New York

Propr. J. Towner W. Compositore statunitense. Studente di musica all'Università della California e alla Juilliard School di New York, nel 1956 viene assunto come pianista dalla Columbia Pictures e si innamora delle musiche da film. Debutta come autore di colonne sonore alla fine degli anni '50 e vince il primo Oscar nel 1971 per Il violinista sul tetto di N. Jewison. Compositore di fiducia di S. Spielberg, da Sugarland Express (1974) a La guerra dei mondi e Munich (entrambi del 2005), si aggiudica l'Oscar con le partiture di Lo squalo (1975), E.T. l'extra-terrestre (1982), e Schindler's List (1993). Famoso per la maestosità delle sue composizioni e l'uso di grandi orchestre, soprattutto la London Symphony, punta molto sull'utilizzo di leitmotiv, talmente caratterizzati da diventare indipendenti...
