Tucson, Arizona. 1984. Artist Jonah Reed steps out for take-out one evening and never comes back. His truck is left running outside his adobe studio, keys still in the ignition, a coffee mug cooling beside an open sketchpad. The final drawing shows a bedroom. Curtains drift in a wind that should not exist. Detective Anthony Torres expects another missing-person case, something explainable beneath the desert heat and neon haze of Tucson's underbelly.
