Roses for Mr Big Stuff

Adams thought survival meant escaping the bombs. He was wrong. A Nigerian student in Ukraine, Adams wakes one morning to the full terror of war—missiles, broken buildings, missing loved ones, and a country falling into chaos. His documents vanish. His original girlfriend disappears into silence. With no safe route home, he finds refuge with Lily, Daisy, and Martika—three women whose lives have also been shattered by the invasion. Soon, the wounded household becomes something no tradition, law, or moral lecture can easily define. Children are born. Love expands. Jealousy sharpens. Secrets multiply. Then Adams enters the orbit of Mayor Horbach, a wealthy and corrupt city official who hides criminal power behind patriotism, charity, and wartime necessity. Through Solomia, a beautiful and dangerous woman with secrets of her own, Adams becomes part of a secret Population Recovery Programme created for widows who want children in a country bleeding its men at the front. But the programme is not what it seems. Behind the official language lie money laundering, political protection, foreign donations, secret files, dead women, guns under car seats, and a horrifying truth: Adams may have been useful only until the contract expires. Marked as evidence, trapped by desire, and haunted by thousands of children linked to his name, Adams must flee before powerful men turn him into the perfect fall guy. His escape takes him through Otaci, Moldova, Bucharest, and finally Lagos—where survival brings a new question: can a man rebuild a family from love, guilt, betrayal, and stolen time? Roses for Mr Big Stuff is a gripping literary thriller about war, corruption, fatherhood, moral ambiguity, and the dangerous rooms inside the human heart.
