Rydion

Nobody sets out to become a legend. It happens in the small moments first — the decision to stand instead of run, the sacrifice nobody sees coming, the choice made at exactly the wrong time for exactly the right reason. That's how it always starts. Ordinary people, doing the one hard thing in front of them, not yet knowing what it will eventually cost, or what it will eventually make of them. Evil beings exiled centuries ago, sealed behind wards old enough that nobody left alive really understood how they worked. That was supposed to be the end of it. It wasn't. An alien madman who loves being exactly who he is makes it a point to become everyone's problem. A Prince's obsession becomes murderous. Standing between them and the rest of Rydion is a genuinely strange collection of people who mostly can't agree on anything except that it has to be stopped. Jace, ancient beyond counting and bored of nearly everything, finds himself dragged back into a fight he thought he'd outlived. Kartath, brilliant, unstable, and far too entertained by chaos to be fully trusted, might be the realm's best weapon or its worst mistake — nobody's sure which yet, including him. Mikal, Dark Prince of Mystique, is finally forced to choose between the war he was built for and the one woman he's never managed to let go of. And Calina, a warrior queen who never wanted her crown, is about to find out exactly how far she'll go to protect the people she loves. And somewhere in every tavern from one end of the realm to the other, somebody's still arguing about whether a man named Stanley ever got his second shoe back. Step through the mist. Join the adventure of Rydion. Print Length: 225 Pages
