The Starfall Pact

The Starfall Pact By Unshakable Press A Shattered Realm. A Deadly Soul-Lock. A Love That Could Save—or Destroy—Two Worlds. For centuries, the boundary between the human kingdom of Solterra and the shadowy lands of the Night Court has been held together by ancient, fragile magic. While mortals live in quiet ignorance, the High Fae of the Obsidian Spire watch their realm wither under the Bleeding Veil—a expanding void that drains life, corrupts the earth, and poisons everything it touches. Lyra Vale, Chief Cartographer of Oakhaven, knows better than anyone that the boundary is failing. Armed with brass instruments, ancient maps, and an unyielding thirst for truth, she tracks the erratic pulses of the earth's leylines. But when a celestial shard pierces the night sky, crashing into the treacherous Whispering Woods along the border, Lyra realizes the crisis has arrived. The fallen star is no ordinary meteor—it is the Starfall Core, the primordial heart of all magic between realms. Determined to save her people from the core's unstable energy, Lyra braves the deadly borderlands, only to collide with Prince Lysander of the Night Court. Lysander is a lethal, silver-eyed warrior prince who carries the weight of a dying realm on his shoulders. Cold, calculating, and feared across both realms, he will stop at nothing to secure the Core for his people. But when an ambush by void-corrupted beasts triggers a surge of primordial power, the Starfall Core reacts to both of their magical signatures. The result is a Starfall Lock—an unbreakable, glowing violet soul-tether binding Lyra and Lysander together. If they step more than twenty paces apart, the magical bond threatens to tear their very lifeforces asunder. Forced into tight quarters within the dark glass walls of the Obsidian Spire, scholar and prince must navigate an agonizing truce. As they work alongside the court's High Mages to find a way to break the bond at the upcoming Winter Solstice, Lyra is thrust into the center of Fae court intrigue, deadly rebel ambushes, and hidden betrayals. Yet, as the days bleed into weeks, the icy barrier between them begins to thaw. Beneath Lysander's terrifying reputation, Lyra uncovers a fierce protector fighting for the survival of his people. And beneath Lyra's quiet scholarly exterior, Lysander discovers an unyielding courage that challenges everything he thought he knew about mortals. As the Solstice approaches and the Bleeding Veil threatens to swallow both realms whole, Lyra and Lysander must perform the sacred ritual of Alignment. But as the magic that forces them together begins to unravel, they face their greatest threat yet: confronting a deep, slow-burning passion that can no longer be denied.
