The Sterling Cup

A forced proximity, rivals-to-lovers sapphic romcom between a grumpy, Type A reality tv producer and her former high school rival, a sunshiny, laid-back physical therapist—perfect for fans of Ashley Herring Blake and Haley Cass. romance; romcom; sapphic romance; sapphic romcom; lgbt romance; lgbt romcom; forced proximity; rivals to lovers; grumpy sunshine Reality TV Producer Maddy Sterling’s rules are simple: be prepared for anything, depend on no one, always have an exit strategy, and keep at least one hundred miles between herself and Coronado Island. Then her mother fakes a deathbed emergency, and Maddy races home for the first time in fifteen years, only to find Bunny Sterling alive, radiant, and recovering from a bruised tailbone on a donut pillow. Worse, Bunny has volunteered her to co-plan the Sterling Cup with her high school rival and certified expert in getting under her skin—Aspen St. Claire. Aspen has built a good life on the island Maddy left behind. She has her physical therapy practice, her family, her friends, and a very reasonable system for not thinking about the girl she spent four years flirting with in high school and fifteen years trying to forget. The system was working great up until Maddy turned up looking wrecked, gorgeous, and ready to argue about literally everything. Now they’re stuck planning their annual three-day Fourth of July beach Olympics together, with competition, fireworks, and far too many opportunities to touch. Maddy is certain the heat between them is just the old rivalry warming back up. Aspen is determined to prove her wrong.
