SUB WAR

The next great power struggle won't be fought on land or in the skies - it will be fought beneath the waves. From nuclear submarines and underwater drones to internet cables, AI infrastructure and the race for critical minerals, the seabed has become the newest frontier in global power. In SUB WAR, leading international security expert Bruce D. Jones takes readers inside this hidden struggle, revealing why the United States, China and Russia are investing billions to dominate the undersea world - and why the outcome will shape everything from global trade and military power to the internet, artificial intelligence and the balance of the world order. Drawing on rare access to a US nuclear attack submarine and decades advising governments on international strategy, Jones combines first-hand reporting with authoritative insight to illuminate one of the most important stories of our age. Gripping, accessible and deeply timely, SUB WAR uncovers the invisible battlefield beneath our feet - and explains why whoever controls the oceans will determine the future of the twenty-first century.
