Therapy for and by Dogs

In this I look at the basic natural behaviour of dogs and how stifling natural behaviours and instincts can lead to behavioural problems. I explore the way in which a lack of communication and understanding can form a basis for behavioural problems. I talk about the most commonly encountered problems and share experiences from case histories. I explain how to prevent or solve unwanted behaviour. In this book I delve deeper into the origins of this behaviour, how to recognise behavioural patterns, the relationship between the dog and owner, between the dog and its surroundings, genetic causes, bad behaviour and possible solutions based on theoretical studies and actual case histories. I will also look at body language, behavioural testing and the work done with therapy animals. And I will add my holistic approach to it all.
