These Imperfect Machines

Every time we wake up it is another tiny miracle we take for granted. Everything around me feels random and eclectic, completely at the mercy of the chaos that surrounds us all and it overwhelms me to the point where I have to be alone. And when anyone tries to speak to me of Heaven and Hell or how bad this earth can be rather than simply embracing it and accept it for what it is - A mess of unending perfection we have no control over - this is what I tell them: "We've already been handed Heaven and look at what we've done to it."
