THEY CAME BEFORE THE WAR

They didn't come because we were about to be attacked. They came because we were about to attack ourselves. The world is on the brink. Alliances are collapsing. For the first time in decades, global war feels inevitable. Then they appear. Not one ship. Not one race. Four. Arin — A Grey. Not a leader, not a monster. A scientist. He was here seventeen years ago, and his first attempt to understand humanity failed. He doesn't understand fear, grief, or hope — but he is trying. His human name is unpronounceable: A'Rin. Daniel is the first human he can truly talk to. Aelara — A Pleiadian. Tall, calm, impossibly human. The old files called her kind Nordics. She is the ambassador, and she carries a message no president wants to hear. Thael — A Mantid. Ancient, towering, telepathic. The most advanced civilization present, and the most frightening to look at. He cannot be read. He feels more than any of them. And the Draconians — The ones humans call Reptilians. They are not united. Some believe humanity must be contained. Others believe humanity deserves a chance to evolve. One faction believes war is the answer. Daniel thought first contact would be about invasion. It's about intervention. Seventeen years ago, the secret was buried. Now, as the missiles are ready, the secret returns — and humanity must decide if we can survive both ourselves, and the divided powers watching us. They Came Before The War is a present-day first contact thriller about misunderstood alien scientists, alien diplomacy, and a world war that gets interrupted by something far bigger. Peace is possible. But first comes confusion. And fear.
