Tim O'Brien - William Timothy O'Brien - è uno scrittore statunitense. Laureatosi in Scienze politiche nel 1968 e contrario alla guerra, vi partecipò ugualmente tra il 1969-70, per timore dell’ostracismo in cui sarebbe incorso da parte della famiglia, dei vicini e della città se avesse disertato.
