Is there really magic or just part of one's destiny. On assignment to Fort Bennett to help with the Sioux uprisings, Captain Michael Cully is to report to the fort to report to his old friend, Captain Doug Stiles. His assignment is to get the miners in the hills out safely and to speak a treaty with the Sioux to let the railroad go through their land. A tall order for any army officer to achieve, yet Cully did have a lucky charm he is the great grandson Of Sioux Chief Black Hawk. It's on his way to the fort he comes across the young daughter of the judge who was thrown off her horse. It was in aiding her, he lost some time to get to the fort, but found out some facts that led him to believe the Sioux were being falsely accused. After following his instincts, he finds the men at the fort, including old friend, Captain Stiles, was involved in this charade to discredit the Sioux to get rich. Follow the young man as he fights the wrongs done to both sides And succeeds in getting a treaty both can agree on and yes go back to the pretty young girl who's magic touched his soul.
