There are moments that divide a life into before and after. I have lived through two of them. The first came in an instant of steel and shattering force, when a thirty-ton overhead crane crushed me, one more foot and I would have been cut in two. The second arrived years later, in a silence far more unbearable, when my wife Mary Jo died suddenly in my arms at the young age of 43. We were enjoying our first cruise on a second honeymoon when a blood clot exploded in her heart. The following days, months, and years myself and others witnessed para-normal events that prove the Reality of Heaven. "Two Faces, One Life: The Journey Within" is the record of what remained, and what began, in the wake of those impossible survivals. It is the slow, unguarded journey inward, where grief strips away every illusion and the self is forced to meet its own reflection without disguise. In that interior landscape, where loss becomes a teacher and consciousness becomes a companion, a different kind of truth emerges: not the truth we inherit, but the truth we discover when everything else has been taken. This book is about miracles, I have seen them. It is not about suffering, though I have walked through its fire. It is about the quiet, persistent light that rises from the ruins, the light that waits for anyone who has ever stood at the edge of what cannot be explained and felt life speak back. You'll find many of these wise decisions hilarious and somewhat sad in how asinine they were. I started jotting down thoughts on a cell phone memo pad years ago. This diary of sorts has turned into nineteen manuscripts, quite by accident, I've developed into a writer. I've acquired the knowledge that we are entering into an era of magnificent beauty, perfect harmony, perpetual joy, growing wisdom, pure truth, unending peace and unconditional love. You'll read of miracles that I and others have personally witnessed, there are no other logical explanations for what occurred. I've documented everything as accurately as memory permits.
