Majida Zarawani is a wealthy young Emirati Arab Muslim woman who returns to Dubai, UAE, after graduating from the University of Toronto. While in Canada, unbeknownst to her family, Majida experimented with hedonism, and developed a fascination with assertive young Black men. Robert Lotodo is a Kenyan-born and Ottawa-bred engineer who comes to Dubai with his Carleton University credentials, determined to wow his new employer, billionaire industrialist Mohammed Zarawani. He's tasked with managing the Tar Sands. When Robert meets Majida, his boss's daughter, sparks fly between them. A forbidden romance quietly ensues between the headstrong pair.
