The Warship Beneath the Ice

A prisoner escapes into the Siberian night. Beneath the ice, he discovers a warship that has waited fifteen centuries for a commander. Travis Cole is running out of time. Guards are closing in, the winter cold is killing him, and the crevasse he has fallen into offers no obvious escape. Then he discovers the preserved body of a humanoid alien—and an ancient spacecraft buried deep beneath the Siberian ice. The ship calls itself Vigilant. When Vigilant accepts Travis as its new commander, his first decision is not to flee. He returns to the prison he escaped from, disables its defences and frees the prisoners left behind. But his actions reveal something far more dangerous than the authorities hunting him. Humanity is not alone. The Kharvek, a ruthless alien power that conquers worlds and enslaves their populations, already has forces hidden on the far side of the Moon. And a much larger threat is approaching Earth. With an ancient alien warship at his command, Travis must transform from prisoner to commander and bring together people who have every reason to distrust one another. From a frozen prison in Siberia to battles beneath the lunar surface and a war fought across space, the survival of Earth may depend on the man it once locked away. The Warship Beneath the Ice is an action-packed military science-fiction adventure featuring alien invasion, ancient technology, space battles, first contact and an unlikely commander.
