This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice. This essay sheds light on what are stem cells, reveals the different types of stem cells, expounds upon the potential applications of certain types of stem cells, explicates why embryonic stem cell research should never be conducted, and elucidates why embryonic stem cell therapies should never be conducted. Furthermore, this essay expatiates on why embryonic stem cells should never be utilized for artificial tissue engineering purposes, why embryonic stem cells should never be utilized for artificial organ engineering purposes, and why embryonic stem cell should never be utilized for testing the efficacy of medications. Succinctly stated, stem cells are deemed to be undifferentiated cells that are capable of becoming specialized cells. Stem cells are able to swiftly develop into specialized cells to fulfill “numerous functions in different parts of the” vessel. Stems cell that have not developed into specialized cells “have the ability to divide and make an indefinite number of copies of themselves. When a stem cell divides, it can either remain a stem cell or turn into a differentiated cell”. Stem cells have tremendous utility as cells since “they are capable of developing into cells that serve ample functions in different parts of the” vessel. Stem cells are precursor cells to specialized cells as a corollary of them being on standby to eventually become specialized cells. Stem cells can be in quiescence in contexts in which they have not received bioelectrical signals to develop into specialized cells “from their cellular microenvironment” in the vessel. It can be deduced that a regular adult does not have a sizeable reserve of trillions of stem cells in his vessel. Even though a regular adult does not have an enormous reserve of trillions of stem cells in his vessel, a regular adult’s vessel is not devoid of stem cells. In 2018, it was estimated that there are about “50,000-200,000 hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow” of a regular adult’s vessel.
