Ricardo Siri Liniers, meglio conosciuto come Liniers, è un noto e amatissimo disegnatore argentino celebre in tutto il continente latinoamericano per il fumetto Macanudo. Ha pubblicato più di venti volumi che raccolgono le quasi 3600 strisce da lui disegnate e tre libri per bambini (Lo que hay antes que haya algo, Mamarracho e Il sabato è come un palloncino rosso (La Nuova Frontiera Junior 2015). Nel 2011 diventa editore e fonda la casa editrice Editorial Comun. Nel 2013 Macanudo è stato selezionato dal festival d’illustrazione francese di Angouleme. Nel 2014 Liniers ha illustrato la copertina della prestigiosa rivista americana The New Yorker. Le strisce di Liniers sono state pubblicate in Italia dal settimanale Internazionale.
