Wuthering Heights: Zero Network

At the twilight of the 21st century, the world is nothing more than a fragmented operating system under the yoke of The Citadel, a corporate orbital entity that processes human life as mere exchange assets. In the midst of an industrial wasteland choked by radioactive ash and ionized static, two power nodes face off in a low-frequency war that has lasted for generations. Thrushcross Grange, a biodome of sterile elegance and filtered air, is the last refuge of the Linton lineage. Opposite them, Node 74—known as Wuthering Heights—rises as a monolith of iron and rust under the command of Heathcliff: an exiled Vengeance Administrator who has spent decades designing a hostile absorption algorithm to annihilate those who once treated him like a defective file. Turned into a "Null"—a ghost with no rights on the network—Cathy is forced to coexist with Hareton Earnshaw, a rugged and digitally illiterate hardware operative who guards the station's inner workings. As Heathcliff descends into a mystical madness, obsessed with syncing with the ghost of his past on Zero Frequency, Cathy and Hareton forge an unlikely alliance between the software of intelligence and the hardware of brute force. Together, they must breach the protocols of death itself to activate the Zero Network: a resistance infrastructure capable of breathing life back into the wounded earth and hacking the freedom of a future that no longer belongs to tyrants, but to those who dare to exist without permission.
