YEARS GO BY, SO KEEP LEARNING

Years go by whether we are ready for them or not. But growing older does not mean that we have to stop learning, changing, or moving forward. In this collection of eight essays, the author reflects on some of the choices, experiences, and lessons that have shaped his life. From setting a goal and changing direction to continuing to learn after leaving school, these essays look at how a person can keep growing through different stages of life. The author writes about taking risks and making changes, including the "jumping ships" that sometimes become necessary in life. He also reflects on growing older without allowing age to become a reason to stop learning or trying something new. Some essays use simple everyday images to express deeper ideas. A new product cannot stay stuck in a warehouse forever. A person cannot keep taking without giving. And sometimes, when we have something to say, we need to stop beating about the bush and say it clearly. The book also touches on two things that are easy to overlook in everyday life: saying thank you and saying sorry. They may be simple words, but they can tell us a great deal about how we treat other people. These are not lessons written from a classroom or a textbook. They come from a life of work, learning, change, mistakes, opportunities, and continued exploration. The years will keep going by. So keep learning. Keep changing. Keep moving forward.
