William Goldman

William Goldman è stato uno scrittore e sceneggiatore americano. Inizia a scrivere da giovanissimo. La penna e l'amore per il grande schermo trionfano nel 1976, anno in cui Il maratoneta sbanca al botteghino. Il film, con protagonisti Dustin Hoffman e Laurence Olivier, è tratto dall'omonimo romanzo di Goldman, che firma anche la sceneggiatura. Ha vinto l'Oscar per la migliore sceneggiatura originale nel 1970 per il film Butch Cassidy e nel 1977 l'Oscar per la migliore sceneggiatura non originale con Tutti gli uomini del presidente. È autore di numerosi romanzi, per adulti e per bambini. La principessa sposa (Marcos y Marcos) è uscito in Italia nel 2007, Io sono Raymond (Mattioli 1885) è del 2011.
