Jose's swift thinking helped rescue Helena before she could be trampled by a stampeding crowd trying to flee from canisters of tear-gas being hurled at them. Narrowly escaping arrest at the hands of the brutal ICE agents, the two duck into a downtown bar, away from the mayhem. That was the way the two began; not only on the same side, but walking the same path. Although their love for one another begins to blossom and grow from their very first encounter; the circumstances and issues that brought them together, ultimately play a big role in the couple's split later down the line. Can their love for one another survive, when their viewpoints no longer seem to align in the same way, and Helena becomes someone Jose no longer recognizes?
