Christos Tsiolkas

1965, Melbourne

Nato e cresciuto a Melbourne, ha studiato alla Blackburn High School prima di laurearsi presso l'Università di Melbourne nel 1987, dove è stato redattore del giornale studentesco "Farrago" nel 1988. Il primo ronanzo di Tsiolkas, Loaded (1995), ha conosciuto un adattamento cinematografico intitolato Head On (1998) per la regia di Ana Kokkinos e interpretato da Alex Dimitriades. Nel 2006 Dead Europe ha vinto il Age Book of the Year fiction award. Nel 2009, il suo quarto romanzo (e primo ad essere pubblicato in Italia) Lo schiaffo ha vinto il Commonwealth Writers Prize come miglior romanzo per l'area del sudest asiatico e del sud Pacifico.Da Lo schiaffo è stata tratta una serie TV in otto episodi.Nel 2025 Playground pubblica in Italia, Barracuda.
