A Dinosaur Story: Fire in the Forest: A Dinosaur Story about Being Polite

Each book in the A Dinosaur Story series follows a group of dinosaur friends who get into some sticky situations but, in doing so, helps them to learn about good manners and behaviour. In Fire in the Forest, Deano is being rude to his parents so they tell him to go out to calm down and get some air. He sees some smoke in the air but has never seen any before so doesn't know what it is. He speaks rudely to and pushes rudely past several other dinosaurs to run towards it only to come face to face with the fire. Luckily his dad rescues him and Deano promises to be more polite and listen to others in future. The A Dinosaur Story series is great to read aloud or to share with friends and family. Each book includes notes for parents, teachers and care-givers which give suggestions for how to reinforce and extend understanding of the message of each book. The series also supports the Personal, Social and Emotional Development Area of Learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage, and is suitable for use with children in KS1.
