The otter, slightly deflated, looked at them with interest. "What brings you two all the way out here?" Ferdinand, still recovering from his fall, replied, "We were just out for a leisurely stroll. Though, I think 'leisurely' might be a strong word for Penelope's pace." Penelope glared at him. "Don't you dare blame me for your clumsiness!" The otter chuckled again, finding the bickering amusing. "Well, whatever your reason, I must say, you're quite the entertaining pair." As they continued their conversation, the otter, forgetting his attempts at ferocity, seemed strangely drawn to the strange, glittering objects dangling from Penelope's ears. "What are those shiny things?" he asked, his eyes widening.
