"Nome d'arte di D. Kaumeyer, attrice statunitense. Miss New Orleans nel 1931, cantante d'orchestra, arriva al cinema attraverso la radio e fin dall'esordio (La figlia della giungla, 1936, di W. Thiele) si impone in ruoli di bellezza esotica drappeggiata in tenute pseudotropicali (Uragano, 1937, di J. Ford; Tifone sulla Malesia, 1940, di L. King; Aloma dei mari del Sud, 1941, di A. Santell). Perfeziona poi il suo personaggio di allegra seduttrice nella serie comico-musicale «Road to», con B. Crosby e B. Hope (La danzatrice di Singapore, 1940 e Avventura a Zanzibar, 1941, entrambi di V. Schertzinger; Avventura al Marocco, 1942, di B. Butler; Av­ven­tura in Brasile, 1947, di N.Z. McLeod; La principessa di Bali, 1952, di H. Walker; Astronauti per forza, 1962, di N. Panama). "
