ENG:The project of repairing and healing a damaged earth has a long and fascinating past. Natural resource managers today call this pursuit restoration, renaturing or perhaps rewilding, but its main activities have taken many forms over the last century. The reader joins the great environmental thinker, George Perkins Marsh, to travel between North America and Europe for discovering many ways of undoing environmental wrongs.
