Not so long ago, Robbie Mason had it all. But then he went and broke his own teammate's jaw, and the best defenseman in the history of the NHL hit rock bottom, hard. Robbie needs a place to live, and just so happens to have six-million bucks to spend. It's the perfect plan. Robbie buys the apartment and, in exchange, Fran pretends to be his girlfriend. Because what better way to prove that he's cleaned up his act than by settling down with a nice, young career-driver woman?
