Desmond Tutu, nato a Klerksdorp, in Sudafrica, nel 1931, è stato l'arcivescovo della chiesa anglicana di Capetown. Ha lottato contro l'apartheid al fianco di Nelson Mandela. Nel 1984 ha vinto il premio Nobel per la Pace. Tra i suoi titoli ricordiamo: Anch'io ho il diritto di esistere, Il mio Dio sovversivo, Il libro della gioia (Gyatso Tenzin (Dalai Lama) e Douglas Abrams).
