Would you rather be immortal or human? The world order has collapsed. Nations have been replaced by antithetical communities where people have migrated in search of the truth that suits them best. Now everyone is with their own kind. Now everyone is right, and they are safe within high walls to protect their truths from the lies and corrupted principles of the others . . . Adi believes in the Sector and its founding principles. He believes genetic engineering is the path to human immortality; it will eliminate all diseases and bodily failures, and people will live forever. In a week's time, he will start to work at GenEngine, the Sector's pioneering research facility where he will find the key to immortality and will gift Sectorians with eternal life. He will go down in history, just as his grandfather Christopher did for founding the Sector decades before. But Christopher flees unexpectedly and becomes a dissident. No one can challenge the Sector's principles, not even he who established them, and being Christopher's grandson is enough for Adi to lose his GenEngine security clearance and be placed under surveillance. Enough to lose everything he has built in his entire life. Unless he proves his loyalty to the Sector and turns Christopher in. To find him, Adi must venture outside the Sector's safe walls and into a world full of dangerous lies and hostile people where he will learn that reality is not as he has always known it and will find something more than Christopher: the truth about himself and what it means to be human.
