Gli Eagles crearono un’ indelebile eredità musicale con una carriera che copre più di 40 anni ed include sei album numero uno, più di una dozzina di hits Top 40, e sei GRAMMY Awards. Quest’autunno, LEGACY riunirà in una sola raccolta tutta la musica che fece degli Eagles una delle band che vendette di più nella storia della musica.
Due versioni di LEGACY saranno disponibili il 2 novembre. La prima versione contiene 12 CD ed include tutti sette gli album in studio della band, tre album live, ed una compilation di singoli e b-sides. Include inoltre due video dei concerti: Hell Freezes Over (DVD) e Farewell Tour: Live From Melbourne (Blu-ray).
Una versione vinile di LEGACY sarà disponibile dallo stesso giorno. Tutta la musica contenuta nei CD è disponibile anche in 15 LP, escluso l’audio dei video. Entrambi i cofanetti sono contenuti in bellissime custodie accompagnate da un libro di 54 pagine con copertina rigida, pieno di foto rare ed inedite, memorabilia e l’artwork che comprende l’intera carriera della band.
L’ingegnere del suono vincitore di Grammy Bob Ludwig ha rimasterizzato Hell Freezes Over e Millennium Concert in via del tutto speciale per LEGACY. Entrambi gli album- insieme a molte tracce dalle compilation Singles and B-Sides- sono state pubblicate su vinile per la prima volta come parte della raccolta. In più, il fenomenale doppio album Eagles Live sta facendo il tanto atteso ritorno al vinile in questo cofanetto dopo essere stato fuori stampa per decenni.
