What could go possibly go wrong when a former libertine and a feisty actress hunt down a suspected killer? The answer, of course, is everything. Former Bow Street Runner, Cordell Steele, decided to strike out on his own as a private inquiry agent. When a series of murders starts to target young actresses, he offers his services whether they are wanted or not. Sparks immediately fly between her and Cordell the instant they meet—in more ways than one. He wants to keep her safe while she is determined not to let anything destroy her career, including fear.
