2001 was definitely the season that turned my entire career around. Bob meant so much to our team. When people say things work out for a reason, this is a perfect example. He needed us, and in the end we needed him. He knew how to work with the sponsors and smooth things over with them and his media work was fantastic. Bob and I were nearly inseparable, and that's a good thing. He was the Best Man at my wedding and it was like we were best friends in those days. We still are. -Del Worsham, Owner, Driver, Crew Chief of the CSK Funny Car team. When I first met Bob, we just clicked and got along great. He was so thorough and had everything so in place and ready. Whether it was our sponsor, CSK, or the media, it was all taken care of. We became close friends quickly, as did our wives. I actually wasn't too aware that he was writing a diary in 2001. I was pretty busy being a crew chief, but no one else could've done what he did. -David Fletcher, CSK Blue Team Crew Chief Bob's great. I worked with him a little with Whit Bazemore's team and he had a lot to do with me coming over to the Worshams. Having Bob there was a big part of that. When the red car and the blue car would race each other, like in the semifinals in Atlanta, it was game on. I'm very glad to know Bob wrote it all down and found it again after all these years. 2001 was a huge year for all of us. -Rob Flynn, Co-Crew Chief on the CSK Red Team One of life's great joys is finding individuals to work alongside who exude charisma, character and class. Bob Wilber is one of those remarkable folks. Proud to call him a friend! -Gary Gerould, Play by play radio announcer for the NBA Sacramento Kings since 1985 and former NHRA television reporter.
