Management Issues In Social Services

This edited volume — a collation of workshop discussions and papers presented by social service leaders — seeks to highlight good management skills that aid in the delivery of cost efficient, effective and accountable services amid an expanding social service sector.Selected social workers and social service leaders from Asia, in particular ASEAN, attended the workshops to learn and share their experiences in their own communities with Singapore social work and service practitioners. Such cross-border exchanges facilitated ideas on social challenges related to the management of social services. Major key management issues, such as organisational review and change, financial resources management, evaluation of service outcomes and stewardship, have been identified, presented and discussed.
