Having been given the news the multiple sclerosis journey is both daunting and frightening. This is the updated story of my wife's multiple sclerosis from pre-diagnosis to where we are now. How, over the last 10 years, we regained the control of our lives by trying to understand the mechanisms behind the disease. How we used the comprehensive research that is available to change our approach, and in so doing, to maintain our lifestyle as much as practicable. The reader will learn the path we chose and why, and more importantly, the published scientific evidence that led us to make the choices we made. Using the available evidence, it is possible to make a judgement on the most suitable way forward that best supports the needs of the patient. By necessity, this is a personal story, but hopefully it will resonate with and help other sufferers. Perhaps providing some hope and inspiration to all those afflicted, and their partners.
