Specifically, what the hell is going on — and why do I want him so badly? College student Kate Kelly's boring summer gets a lot more interesting when she sees something strange in the sky. Then the weirdness starts with eerie lights in the sky, mysterious gray figures wandering in the woods, and men in black suits questioning anyone who witnessed the phenomenon. Men like the cool and collected Agent Ashe. He's as shocked as Kate by their instant and raw connection, but their passion for each other can't be denied. However, there's something Kate's new lover is hiding — something from beyond the stars. Will Kate Kelly get her man? Or will his secrets tear them apart? My Lover, The Man in Black is a breezy and fun short story that features a steamy romance, a lighthearted sunshine-meets-grump relationship and a HEA with a dose of paranoid alien conspiracy theories. It is a standalone work, though future installments in the Pleasant Valley Alien Chronicles are planned. (Because you know Lynda and Agent Johns are getting up to some mischief in the background!)
