I thought I would have liked it more... I adored Alice. She's the reason I gave this book 4 stars. At times, it felt like looking in a mirror. Her personality and mine are very similar, especially when it comes to not wanting to impose on others and having struggling to ask for help. Charlie, on the other hand... On one hand, I think he should have come clean to Alice. He should have told her why he couldn't be in a relationship instead of pushing her away with hurtful words. On the other, I think the distance that formed afterward did them some good. I loved Alice's growth when she returned to the city and discovered what she wanted for herself and her life. She finally stood on her own two feet and found happiness within herself. I loved the ending. It gave me such a rush of emotions that I cried... again (what's new?). I'm really proud of Alice and everything she accomplished, and I'm happy Charlie finally gave himself permission to love her fully. They're great together. Also, I was happy every time Percy and Sam appeared on the page!! Those two are made for each other!!
