Peculiar Engagements is a mystery series following Xristian Cornack — consultant, gentleman of independent means, and a man who has been alive considerably longer than the cut of his suit suggests. He is not a detective. He will tell you this with complete composure and genuine accuracy and it will nonetheless fail to explain why trouble finds him with such reliable enthusiasm across every city, century, and dimensional configuration he passes through. Each title in the series is a standalone mystery set against the broader operations of the Foxander Casino and Resort Complex, whose interests span more jurisdictions than its official documentation acknowledges.
