I liked it better than Hooked, both in the word build and in characters. The tension was good and everything was build better but I felt like the plot was weak in some parts. It was not a long book, so I guess that was the cause for this sense of incompletion but it was a fun read. But NGL, Scar was my favourite villain growing up, I was really fascinated by him and I felt the character in the book didn’t do him justice. I didn’t feel the spark. He wasn’t really bad, he had his reasons to be that way and I prefer when my morally dark characters are just bad because they decide to be, not because they had a soppy story underneath. And I think Scar was bad just because he felt like it, so I felt the vision I had and what the author created in this book disconnected.
