Jennifer Johnston

È una delle più raffinate scrittrici irlandesi di fama internazionale. È nata a Dublino nel 1930 ed è figlia del celebre drammaturgo Denis Johnston e dell’attrice Shelah Richards. Fra i suoi romanzi ricordiamo The Captains and the Kings, The Gates, Ombre sulla nostra pelle (pubblicato da Fazi Editore, finalista del Booker Prize nel 1977), The Old Jest (vincitore del Whitbread Award per la narrativa nel 1979), The Railway Station Man, Fool’s Sanctuary. Vive nell’Irlanda del Nord, vicino Derry.
